On Building

There is a permanent temptation in tech to confuse speed with progress. We ship, iterate, pivot, and sometimes forget to ask whether what we are building deserves to exist.

Building slowly does not mean being passive. It means choosing density over volume. A product, a text, an idea: each layer must hold before another is added.

Artificial intelligence amplifies this tension. It makes production easy, and selection hard. The real work becomes curatorial: deciding what deserves to be published, deployed, shown.

This Essay page is a space for that kind of thinking. Drafts in progress, working notes, fragments still looking for their shape.
